Sorry, had company - right the potted version is... all dressed up to the nines, a nasty wet day, arrived and immediately began to imbibe the free samples.
We discovered two lovely lads on the Britvic stand (they volunteered to look after our brollies) were directly around the corner from the Vladivar stand - so lots of tooing and froing there.
My friend had made me promise not to let her order anything at all, however I tried and failed after we downed a Bottle of Pink Champagne and she ordered 3 boxes.
As the day drew to a close, our finery a bit dishevelled ( Think Mrs Bucket/Bouquet) we made to leave...Britvic boys chased us and reunited us with umbrellas. No Taxis to be had, we set off to walk to the Station, on reaching a corner,we separated slightly as she pressed the button on the pedestrian crossing, at this point I went arras over titmouse and landed fair on my rear on the textured pavement (Mondrian would have been proud - lasted a week)
Just as the lights changed a Police Car stopped and my mate in perfect (if you believe that...English) said 'Can you give us a lift to the Station' - you can guess the reply.
We had to wangle an invite the next year and take chaperones.
