Heart Shaped Cake

How does one measure a heart shaped cake tin, and does any one have a recipe for chocolate cake to bake in one.

Not sure how you would measure this, my auntie made a heart shaped 3 tier wedding cake......it collapsed , just as we arrived at the reception !

If you want to measure the tin's capacity, this might work: fill it with water, then pour the water into a tin/container of known capacity.
