I had a christmas order from Asda sent to my daughter`s this morning as she has more freezer space, amongst the order was a Xmas pud"Asda Extra Special Mulled Port, Cherry & Orange Pudding"...she went froze it!!!!!!!..too late to take it out now as the order was delivered first thing this morning.
Will it be ok????
Mmmm save some for me. My mum used to buy christmas pud half price after christmas and then freeze it till the following year, and we all survived! It might give you storage instructions on the box. I am sure it will be just fine.
Practically anything will freeze, so unless it says on the packaging "do not freeze" no harm will come to it. In fact, I believe the only thing that will definitely not freeze is lettuce.
My mother used to make batches of 4-5 Christmas puds at a time then seal them with greaseproof paper and bees wax mum always said the longer they were stored the better they tasted.
Hello everyone...hope you all had a lovely Xmas.
The "frozen" pud..was absolutely delicious!!!!!...and I am not a xmas pud fan but is was full whole cherries soaked in mulled port, nuts and had oranges all around it.Will be looking for it next Xmas,
Made a white sauce with Disaronno in it.
Wonder we were not all drunk afterwards!!!
