Blackcurrant Task.

Whew that is a relief, I have just spent the morning picking about 1&1/2lbs of Blackcurrants from the back garden. That is the easy bit. It has taken me about an hour and a half to wash and "top and tail" them. Mind numbing. I hope the Blackcurrant tart and jam is worth it.

I've got a big tub in the freezer. Not sure what I'll do with them, cassis is high on the list of probable outcomes.

I was literally forced to pick what is ripe Tilly, the wind is blowing hard up here and the ripe ones were all falling to the ground. I have tons more to pick as they ripen later in the next week or so.
