What Does A Vegetarian Christmas Lunch Consist Of?

Sounds silly but on another thread we were chatting about how the traditional Christmas turkey meal seems to be dying out. 

But not to insult vegetarians all over the place, what typically consists of a Christmas lunch for vegetarians?

Iceland hás a Vegan chicken roast. Bisto has vegan gravy. Nut Roasts are easy to make. Most stuffing mixes are vegan. Bacon bits for the sprouts. Any plant based spread for brandy butter. Linda McCartney does delicious rosemary vegan saussage

Matthew Walker does vegan Xmas puds. Soya or almond milk for bread sauce

We'll have a nut roast, and all the same roasties and veggies as everyone else; just not cooked with the meat. So in vegetable oil rather than meat or duck fat. 
we have stuffing and yorkshires but I don't like fake meat so I don't bother with plant based alternatives for anything like pigs in blankets.

Dessert might be Christmas Cheese cake or Christmas pudding with a V on the packaging! All washed down with wine and followed later on by port, cheese and biscuits. 

Really not at all different to a regular Christmas Day.

For anyone cooking fir a vegetarian this VmChristmas, it's worth knowing that regular Bisto gravy is vegetarian. (Check the packet) No need to buy a separate one that you won't use again.

I'm not vegetarian, although I do sometimes choose a veggie option. I would definitely recommend the nut roast.

We have a number of vegetarians in the family and it really is no bother accommodating them for any meal, Christmas or otherwise.

As others have said, all the vegetables, with the centrepiece for them being some sort of vegetarian roast. I used Glamorgan sausages wrapped in fake bacon for the pigs in blankets for them, which went down well, and made the Christmas pud with veggie suet which turned out no different to using ordinary suet so we could all enjoy it.

It really is no problem.

roasted spuds, sprouts, parsnips, carrots (all roasted together) yorkshire puds, stuffing. Some kind of nut roast (maybe mushrooms, onions, chopped nuts, and whatever, plus seasoning) possibly roasted in a pastry jacket, and veg gravy granules.

I'm not a great fan of mushrooms but in a nut roast they add the "umami" flavour to the texture of nuts and vegetables.

There's a caf/e in Vienna which has on its (extensive) breakfast menu, 'Prisoner's breakfast - A glass of water and a cigarette.' (I didn't order )

Quite a few I would like in Pasta's link. I'm not vegetarian but eat a lot of non meat dishes.  Had parmigiana tonight, a favourite.
