Where do you get your recipes from (cheeseburger soup, taco soup, etc)? I'm genuinely interested, I've never seen anything like it before. You even mentioned cheddar cheese soup!! And when I read your recipes I imagine a cheese burger floating in a soup, which is a bit weird. I'm intrigued, not being rude ;-)

Hi Natalie -
I am an old lady who lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA and I get my recipes from a variety of places - the cheddar cheese soup that is mentioned in one of the recipes is just plain old Campbell's Soup in a can that you can buy at any supermarket :) The Cheeseburger Soup recipe is from one of the cooking shows on our cable television Food Network - if you read the recipe or make it you will see that it has a lot of the same ingredients that are used to make a cheeseburger - but you just put it in a bowl instead of on a bun!!! The Food Network has many different chefs/cooks doing shows all day and most of the night - so if I am doing work on the computer I am listening to them and glancing if it sounds interesting - I then go to their website and copy the recipe - foodnetwork.com
The Taco Soup recipe is one someone gave my daughter about 5 years ago and it has become one of my staples - I multiply the recipe and make huge pots of it and put one container in the fridge to eat for a day or two and put the rest in containers and freeze them so when I want it again I just take the container to the microwave and let it defrost and heat without having to assemble the ingredients all over again. I work from home so that is a very handy lunch for me. I don't use as much meat as the recipe calls for (just a personal preference) and I use more corn because that is my favorite part and I sometimes substitute pinto beans or white beans for the kidney beans. If you make it once, you will decide how you want to change it to make it your own like I did :)
I also use a couple of websites to get recipes:
allrecipes.com
epicurious.com

Natalie, I hope you enjoy some of the recipes - please let me know how you like them. My email address is [email protected]
And Natalie, I forgot to mention that I invent recipes from time to time - and since I am not a very good cook - they are ALWAYS simple and easy - like this one I invented:

Bs Cherry Pie

Put everything in the fridge and let it get cold - yes, even the Cherry Pie Filling.

1 - Graham Cracker Crust

1 can Cherry Pie Filling (chilled in the fridge)

1 pack Jello Instant Pudding Cheesecake Flavor

Mix up the pudding I usually use a little less milk than the directions say pour it in the crust. Put in the fridge until it sets up 5 minutes or more.

Spoon on the Cherry Pie Filling and spread it out.

You can decorate the top with Cool Whip or Reddi-Whip if you want to but it doesnt need it for the taste.
Natalie - are you certain your were "intrigued" by my recipes - I can't tell if you have even read my response to your question :)
It would be nice if there was somewhere that you can click to let people know that you have acknowledged helpful posts, even if you haven't time to post an answer, don't you think?
Jenny you are sooo right - I hate it when you try to help someone and you can't tell if they have even read the Posts OR if they got what they needed or you need to continue to try to help!! I know everyone is busy - but if people take the time to try to help you with something - you should take at least 2 seconds to tell them thanks and that you got what you needed - otherwise you are just being rude/inconsiderate. Just one old lady's opinion :)
