Sauce for Salt Beef

Hi, I have purchased a piece of salt beef . I remember having 'Boiled beef and carrots' in the sixties/seventies in Brighton, the meal comprised of boiled beef,carrots and boiled potatoes but there was a particular sauce that went with the dish. Does anyone have the recipe for the sauce? Thanks

They suggest that it should be served with either horseradish sauce or mustard & horseradish sauce. These are both traditional sauces to go with salt beef, so one of them might be what you're thinking of. The Foody obligingly provides recipes for both sauces:
