Anyone have Nigella's Holiday Hot Cake Recipe please?
I would love to make Nigella Lawson's Holiday Hot Cake but didn't tape the show or write the recipe down. I've found a sticky toffee version but I want to make the Christmassy spicy version that was featured on her Express TV series recently.
Can anyone help me out with the recipe please? Many thanks!

Here's the ingredients:
For the cake:
150g flour
100g muscavado sugar
1 teaspoon each of ginger, mixed spice, baking powder
125 ml milk
1 egg
Mix all of the above together and pour into a pan.
For the sauce:
?? Sugar (I don't have a quantity)
1 teaspoon each of ground ginger and mixed spice
6 teaspoons of butter
500 ml of boiling water
I think the method for making the sauce was sprinkle the ginger and mixed spice over the cake mix. Pour on the boiling water, sprinkle over the sugar and dot the 6 teaspoons of butter over the sugar.
Bake for 30 mins at 220 c, then stand for 10 mins. The sauce should end up underneath the cake.

Yay, the BBC food message boards had the recipe posted on a thread there - here it is:
Nigellas Holiday Hot Cake
150g flour
100g light muscovado sugar, plus 200g extra
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoons mixed spice
125ml full-fat milk
60ml vegetable oil
1 egg
6 teaspoons butter
500ml boiling water
1. Preheat oven to 220c/gas mark 7 and place a baking sheet on the shelf. Put water on to boil.
2. Mix together the flour, 100g of the sugar, the baking powder, 1 teaspoon of the ground ginger, 1 teaspoon of the mixed spice, and the milk, oil and egg.
3. Put into a greased, round baking dish (23cm diameter x 6cm deep)
4. In another bowl, mix together the remaining 200g of sugar with the remaining teaspoons each of mixed spice and ground ginger, and sprinkle over the batter in its baking dish. Dot the butter on top and pour the boiling water over the mixture. Trust me.
5. Put the dish on the baking sheet in the oven for 30 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving, and make sure you scoop out the sauce beneath the sponge in the dish.
Serves 6-8
Enjoy! Merry Christmas!
