KitchenAid blender recipes
5 Answers
I was given one of these at Christmas and would like to move beyond the smoothie/vegetable drinks stage. Can anyone give me some recipes to try while I wait for the full recipe book to arrive? Another thing - does anyone know where I can buy the cover for the blender in the UK? I have searched the Internet but no luck. Many thanks - happy New Year.

Tortilla Soup
3 Roma tomatoes cut in half
1/2 piece of carrot
1 cube of cheese (about 2 ounces, more to taste)
1/4 an onion
1 small slice of jalapeno
1/2 teaspoon chicken bouillon
1 tablespoon taco seasoning (more or less to taste)
3 dashes of peppers
2 dashes of garlic salt
2 cups warm water
Place ingredients in blender jar in order listed above. Blend until smooth but not watery. Remove and heat. When serving, place a few taco chips on top of each bowl.

3 tomatoes
pinch of oregano
1 beet
tsp. honey
2 garlic cloves
pinch of basil
1/2 onion
pinch of thyme
1 tsp. bakers yeast
pinch of sea salt
1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper
tsp. simulated chicken base (optional)
Blend tomatoes till liquid. Add remainder of ingredients and blend for one minute. Heat for four minutes then add some finely chopped vegetables of your choice. Example, green beans, celery, red pepper, or carrots. Cook at low heat for additional 10 minutes. A hardy filling soup under 100 calories per serving. It's pretty too, since it's bright red in color.
