I find it's nice with the following (all to taste)
onion
Garlic
Some chicken stock or similar
A little tomato puree
Worcester sauce
Good spoldge of tomato sauce which makes it sticky)
Some tinned tomatoes OR Fresh
Some Red Wine
A little sugar to taste, salt and pepper
Add all these to a pan until boiled down then add par-cooked sausages to the mix in a baking tray/casserole dish and cook until completely cooked through and soft (around an hour or longer if you can) Serve with mashed potato. Yum
