Got the day off today and feel like baking something cakey and naughty. Trawling through the books just now but wondered if anyone had any ideas and recipes for something yummy!?
Thanks.

Melting moments biscuits (delicious)

10 oz self raising flour
8 oz softened butter or marg
6 oz sugar
few drops vanilla essence
Desicated coconut and glace cherries

heat oven to 180 and grease 2 baking trays

Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy
Add the vanilla essence and stir in the flour
roll into golfball size balls with wet hands
Roll in the coconut then flatten with the palm of your hands
Add half a cherry to the top
Bake in oven for 10-15 mins !!!

Kids love this one and they taste super. You can use rolled oats instead of coconut or just leave plain.

You could try the recipie I gave vibrasphere (10/10/08) under heading "pls help" it's for Impossible Pie.

Thanks for these. Been to the supermarket but they didint have the scotblock stuff horselady. Will keep looking though cos those look really yum! Think I might have a go at both the biscuits and might do the pie aswell seeing as it seems to be so little effort!!
Thanks again.

Debsy, the impossible pie is DELISH! I just had a tiny sneaky slice while I wait for tea to cook and now I feel that it might not last till hubby gets home!! Yum!
Glad you liked it lolly -
I think it should be called "sinful" pie, because anything that gives so much pleasure for so little effort, would probably be classed as such by those "clean living" types !!
Shame men aren't the same !!
(Hee hee)
Debsy...ive done a search for this impossible pie but cant find it.....can you either post the recipe on here or point me in the direction of it.

I found this on the web....is it the same http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A2026946

Thanks hun
Yep !
That's prettymuch the same one hammerman -
enjoy !!
I would suggest the Baked Tomato Snapper. It has the naughty taste of sweet and spicy at the same time.
