Homemade Sweets???
This year myself and one of the service users are going to make sweets,he is going to make some for his mum, we will box and wrap in them beautifully, i am looking for any easy sweet recipes,i have a good tablet recipe, and my mate is going to throw in his mums truffle recipe,was looking for any toffee or fudge recipes,some on my other guys dont have anybody and that makes sad, so we will make a box each for them, many thanks!!

preparation: 10 mins plus setting time
cooking: 25 mins
makes: 24
2lb sugar
1 tablespoon vinegar
250ml/8fl oz water
hundreds & thousands or desiccated coconut, for decoration
Combine the sugar & vinegar with the water in a large heavy-based pan.
stir over a medium heat untill sugar has compleatly dissolved.brush the sugar christals from the side of the pan with a wet pastry brush. bring to the boil reduce heat slightly and boil without stiring for 15-20 mins. the mixture must reach 150oC (300oF), use a sugar thermometer or test by dropping a little mixture into cold water. It will be brittle but not sticky. pour into patty cases and decorate. leave to set at room temp and store in an airtight container for up to a week. good luck xx
