Chocolate cake is it ok?

Just made a 12inch choclate cake for someone and do not know if I should remake it. I put in it 12 ozs marg,sugar,6 eggs , 11ozs flour and 3 ozs cocoa. now it is cooked the bottom looks darker, although very cooked, and seems to have a strange texture.! should I start again.?
