Cheap jewellery turning skin green!

I have recently bought a cheap little costume jewellery ring and wanted to know if there was any way to stop it making my skin go green underneath it?
Someone suggested coating it with clear nail varnish? Might that work? If not then any other ideas?

Hi Shivvy,

Yes, clear nail polish is like a god send with costume jewellery! Complete one coat and wait for it to dry completely and then add another coat, making sure that the edges are coated too.

You can also use clear nail polish to stop ladders from running in your tights.
