What to cook
5 Answers
Hi, I'm going mad scouring all the various sources for a nice menu for 6. I don't want anything TOO ambitious but I do want something to make the guests go WOW. It's a once a year get together for 6 old friends, and I like to do something special. I think I would like to do something with pork this year, perhaps with a nice sauce. I prefer a word-of-mouth recommendation to be honest - a tried and tested recipe. We can't have lamb or fish! Any ideas please.

I'd go for a brandy, wholegrain mustard and cream sauce. Saute some finely diced shallots and mushrooms (optional). Add brandy and flambe, add extra thick cream and stir in some wholegrain mustard. Add freshly chopped herbs (sage or suchlike) just before serving.
