Tomato soup or chutney recipes
9 Answers
I have grown some tomatoes for the first time this year and have too many to use.
Could anyone recommend a nice (and simple) recipe for chutney or soup that I could use?
Thanks :-)

I love every type of soup I've ever tasted (from chilled curry soup or japanese egg soup through to hearty beef soups and delicate fish soups). There's just one exception: I DETEST tomato soup!
So I'm probably not the best person to answer your question. Except, that is, that I know that the website of the BBC Good Food has some excellent recipes,...

The first link Chris has posted is perfect. Personally I would probably add a little bit extra sugar and some fresh basil.
You could also add cream but if you do that don't freeze it.
Or you could try a simple tomato and mozzarella stack. Just toms, mozzarella and basil stacked in layers...pop in the oven and drizzle with balsamic. Nice...
