'Finish' Disolvable Coating??

I have a 'Hotpoint Aquarius' Dishwasher and since I've had it (2 yrs) I've used Tesco 5 in 1 tablets lemon, not had any probs (I'd reccomend them) however the last couple of weeks Tesco have done 'Finish' Tabs for HALF price, now I've always understood FINISH is the "Rolls Royce" of dishwasher tabs soo I got a months supply while the offer was on. - They are wrapped in this jelly/plastic see through covering, in the instructions it says this coating is completely disolvable.
My Q is "Is It??" Has anyone else found the residue stuck in the sump?
My H emptied the dishwasher today and noticed one of these coatings at the bottom of the machine, on looking further he found 5 others. Now is it my machine thats not heating hot enough or is it the coatings that are at fault?
I'm hoping some of you can enlighten me.

I think I'll go back to my Tesco ones in future. There's never been a prob with the cleaning of the dishes, its just this coating thing.

Thanks in advance.

Jemisa, I've used them too, and I have a small tabletop dishwasher which does get hot - I don't have any trouble with the coatings dissolving. However - I find Tesco's own tablets are pretty good if Finish is not on offer. A tip - our Tesco has a "damaged" shelf where the damaged boxes are sold, and there is often a box or two of dishwasher tabs going really cheap - see if yours does too!

Thanks for the tip boxtops, I will have a look.
So you think the temperature is at fault then? It is on the hottest setting and I have no probs with the results, they're all sparkling and clean.
Perhaps I'd better get a man in to have a look.

I'm not a white goods expert ;-) but there have never been any plasticky bits in my little rubbish-collection basket in my machine. Baked beans, bit of wool, a used stamp... but no plastic!
test one in hot water and see. Ive never had probs, get them very cheap in wilkinsons

Mmmm! Thats a good idea 4get, I'll try that in a mo.
H says, No man in. (if it ain't broke, don't fix it) It still is a puzzle to me.
