That is a surprise, I have used my pressure cooker on my old halogen hob and my current induction hob.
Have you tried it?

not yet, I went on the company web site and posted the question but you have to pay for the answer ???? no way
That's bonkers. What make is your pressure cooker? Your hob is halogen and not induction?
i believe its something to do with teh shape of the pressure cooker, ive used mine on a halogen hob so dont worry about it

hi all, in answer to hc4361 no we have not tried it yet as we dont want to damage either the hob or the pressure cooker, the make is "tower brand" and the hob is halogen, thanks for all your replies

This was news to me as well

http://www.ciao.co.uk...ssure_Cooker__7322142

the review section confirms it for one particular Tower model
From the product description of a Tower pressure cooker on the Amazon website:
"Suitable for gas, electric and solid plate hobs"

From a customer review of that pressure cooker, on the same page:
"Had my reservations about how it would perform on my halogen hob but it works a treat. Easy to use, good value for money and does the job perfectly".
