Peach Cobbler

Serves 6

An American dessert similar to crumble, but with a crispier toping. This family favourite is great comfort food and goes fantastically well with ice cream in the summer and custard in the winter, or is even better with both.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 120g all-purpose flour
  • 120g butter
  • 60ml milk

Filling

  • 425g can peaches
  • 180g sugar

Method

  1. Combine flour, butter, and milk together and set aside.
  2. Pour peaches in 22cm x 33cm baking pan. Sprinkle sugar on top. 
  3. Roll out crust and place on top of peaches.
  4. Bake at 180C or gas mark 4 until top is browned lightly (about one hour).
