Philly Cheesesteak
Serves 1
This is the ultimate in gluttony and definately not something you should do every day. But if you are having a junk food craving Philly cheesesteak is amazing. Philly cheesesteak was first invented in Philadelphia and it is the ultimate in sandwiches. Lots and lots of thinly sliced steak with onions toped of with melted cheese. Traditionally it should be provolone cheese, a delicious semi hard Italian cheese, however for a true junk food experience cheese whiz is often used in America. This is a processed cheese sauce, and fortunately we cannot get it over here, but if you really want to do it properly I suggest finding the fakest cheese possible.
For an authentic Philly cheesesteak it should always be rib eye beef, but rump is equally as tasty, a Philly cheesesteak should always be made with good beef. Next time you are alone and can’t be bothered to cook or simply feel like indulging, or if you are a student and you’re still currently slim thanks to being young, this is a great quick recipe and I promise you, you will enjoy every single bite.
