Good Morning Early Birds!

Tuesday. Had an interesting evening at a club I belong to, we had a talk by a falconer, he had Ghost, the barn owl with him. A beautiful raptor, silent in flight and an efficient hunter, we learned things about them I didn't know. Their feathers are so soft, it's what makes them silent fliers.
Got one meeting today. So no charging about.
Have a happy day everyone.

Phoebe leaves Romanian today destined for her new life in the UK. A plethora of love and home cooked dinners await her, as does a big fluffy bed with cuddly toys by the fire.
I'm thinking of going to the cinema tonight and I'm torn between Hidden Figures and Moonlight (the real winner!)
How are you today?

Morning WBM!
There was always a falconer at the Penistone Show every year. Must admit I felt a bit sorry for the birds as they're in their cages for most of the day, but the demonstrations with the eagles, (not the band!), are, as you say, very interesting. There's a man who lives not far from me who's the head of the local Owl Sanctuary, so he's always there with the falconer, showing off the different types of owl as well.

Morning NM xxx I'm well thank you. I'm on the recliner settee with my feet up and coffee to elbow. :o}
She's going to be one lucky pup! A good life in front of her, and getting loved to bits. :o}
I can't remember the last time I went to the cinema, I think it was when we took our grandson to see one of the Harry Potter films when he was about 8. He's thirty now!

I'm not too bad, surprisingly. Went to take a birthday card to a mate. His wife had been for radiation treatment. The last time I saw her was only on Halloween, when she looked okay. She looked awful yesterday and I was really shocked. I'd taken a load of info on herbal stuff for her. She was feeling the cold, so I've started a simple scarf in Snowflake yarn. It's mainly used for babies. It's very light in weight and incredibly soft, so it won't irritate her skin.
Yes, I'm told the dogs sleep for most of the journey and that it's quite distressing for them.
We collect her on Saturday morning. I hope she's not too frightened.
The charity posted recently that it's struggling financially and may have no choice but to stop rescuing and more dogs who are languishing and dying in public shelters. I sent them another £50 last night but they have a monthly shortfall of £3k. The Vets bills in Romania are crippling them. :(

That's terrible news, NoM. Could they start a petition with care2.com? I sign loads of their petitions and there's an option to donate to certain causes. I recently donated to a dog rescue centre in Cuba and forwarded it to my sister and her boyfriend, who used to live there, so they donated too. A lot of these places get funded by word of mouth.
