If You Had A Twin, But Didn't Realise...

It's Friday! The last weekend before Christmas Day! Even for the miseries amongst us it's now Christmas week - the week leading up to the big day, so let's make today as cheerful as possible. I have just one thing left to post today, and yes I know today is the last date for 1st class mail(and even then not a guarantee to get there). I've just 4 cards to put thru neighbours doors and then it's just a case of wrapping MrSmows and his parents presents over nxt few days....
I do also need to tackle the amount of leaves on the patio as I looked out of the patio doors this morning and couldn't believe how deep they were! Will see if I can drag MrSmow outside over nxt day or so to help clear them into bags for the tip. Amazing how slippy they become when wet!
What's everyone's plans today? Any last min shopping or deliveries?? Wrapping done?

Still got to do the food shopping for Christmas day, we only have a turkey breast and they were not in yesterday, will possibly have to make a trip over the weekend as don't want to leave it until Monday.
Our garden bin is packed with leaves and they are not collecting again until 13 January.
Morning ubasses: )
MIL whom we are spending Xmas Day with, well they have been raving about their new local traditional butcher in the town that they moved to in June, and that they had been in a couple of weeks ago and ordered a fresh Turkey, to be picked up the day before Xmas Eve. They get a phone call yesterday from said butcher - said very sorry but there's been an unexpected turkey shortage and they were having to cancel her order!! She's furious!
Morning Smo,
So organised, last of the food coming on 22nd, gives me a couple of days to pick up anything that was not available. Presents distributed, books downloaded, Will be reintroducing a rheumatoid med which has loads of side effects so have told people I want to be left alone for a few weeks ( apart from losing mum a few weeks ago which also means people are happier leaving me to my own devices). Will be keeping treats to a minimum though switching from confectionery to nice cheeses, smoked salmon and picky salad bits.
Hope you have a lovely Christmas
Morning all.
So sorry to hear about your mum rowan.
Daughter and her partner have been working from home all week...no food shopping done. A possible trip tonight or tomorrow to Waitrose...maybe Borough Market on Monday. I'm not sure the menu has even been finalised. Whatever...it will be good. They are both good cooks.
Wrapping?? Pasta laughs hysterically...none done yet. I should have done some last night as they were out. But I binge watched a new Netflix 'dark comedy'.
Morning Smow and all. Everything set here, feel I can sit down and relax. Will go and pick up some fresh milk locally on Monday and that's it. Looking forward to not going out or driving . I must admit I am somewhat what worried about changes the government is going to make about drivers over 70, especially as my licence is due for renewal in March. Lots of speculation on the internet but not heard anything definate, has anybody else?
As I am usually the Scrooge about Xmas, and as you said to keep it upbeat. Have a very happy weekend everyone.
Morning all. We have a delivery today so I am hoping there aren't too many gaps. We are having a quiet Christmas so what we haven't got doesn't matter. I hope tele is good over the holiday period. OH is really looking forward to the new Wallace and Gromit. I can remember a few years ago when African Queen was a Christmas regular.
To anyone I dont see between now and Christmas I hope you have a joyful day xx
I have barely even started. Did the Christmas cards last night which I shall run down to the post office later. Then I suppose I had better think about some pressies, food and decorations. You would think at my age I'd be used to the fact that it falls on the SAME DAY EVERY YEAR, yet once again I am flummoxed at how it snook up on me. Still, I am quite adept now at doing "Christmas in one day"........
