I was thinking of buying this for my girlfriend but I'm not sure if you actually need a Tamagotchi Connection V3 Toy to actually work this thing.

Does anyone have this game without a Tamagotchi because I don't want to buy it only to find out I got to buy a Tamagotchi too because she'll be too addicted to it.
