Original GTA - need help as have no control manual

I recently bought both gta and gta london for the pc.

The discs were in a combined twin pack offer, but neither one came with maps or player manual.

Ive figured out some of the main controls as I had this game a long time ago when it first came out (1999) but i cant figure out how to save the game.

I know it sounds stupid!! Its really bugging me though as I have to restaret from the same position everytime i play.

The manuals are probably on the disc in Adobe Acrobat format. May be worth exploring the disc. Thats what they tend to do in these '3 games for tenners' discs. Cuts down the price. I had to print out a 120 page manual when I bought 'Eurofighter Typhoon' on the cheap.
