what graphics card to buy?
2 Answers
Can anyone help me.
We bought our son Medevil 2 PC game for xmas.
His graphics card doesn't seem to be big enough.
It states on the cover of the game that you should have a 128mb graphics card with 1.1 shader support.
Where can I get one of these cheap?
Many thanks.

Im guessing that from what you said the PC doesnt have PCIexpress (or onboard graphics), so you are more than likely needing an AGP card. www.dabs.com seem to have a good range in mu opinion.
But bear in mind to check with your PC manufacturer what cards you can install, ie PCI, AGP or PCIe. You get what you pay for really. Its impossible to say what youll need without knowing the full spec of your system.

not only does it need a decent card it also requires a monster processor. i would be looking to exceed shader model 1.1 as it will not look right!!! you should try to get a shader model 3 card like a 6600 gt (budget choice) which comes in both agp and pcie versions you need to identify which one you motherboard supports or 7900gt which is only pcie and more expensive.
What processor do you have? this might give a clue as to what card you will require
