recently got a game which wont run. flicking through to the FAQ and it ses i should deactivate the wave sound. It tells me how to do this but its intstructions are for windows 98 and directx 3.0! the game is off 97, in case you were wonderin.

Anyhoo does anyone know how to deactivate wave sounds on windows XP?
