How much do you reckon you have spent on the NATIONAL LOTTERY since it began?

I have spent approximately £5 a week. I reckon I have spent nearly £4000 in 16 years. Out of that I have won in total nearly £800 .Have had better luck on the Irish lottery.

On the Lottery draw ... maybe £5 ?
I doubt if I've bought a ticket any more than five times.
On scratch cards ... maybe £200 ?
We used to go to the pub and buy strips of 20 cards on the way ... working on the basis that getting 20 consecutive cards with no winner at all was quite unlikely. It worked, up to a point. We always won something.

I have my very first lottery ticket when it first started. I keep to the same numbers every week and on the irish lottery the 3 numbers have come up 4 times so I have cut down on the national and put the extra on the irish. As the old saying goes you got to be in it to win it but yes I know some people have never won anything that's why I like to keep my same numbers. I don't do the Euro or the thunderball.
I have entered since the very beginning and have only won very small amounts - never anything more than £25. I would have money in the bank if I had saved it instead of chucking it away. I have also got Premium Bonds and have never won a penny on those. Might as well cash them in except I am too lazy. At the moment I am buying lotto tickets for Wednesday and Saturday and one Euromillions. That's £4 a week being thrown away. I don't have regular numbers but always have lucky dips. So far the lucky part of it is non-existent.
