I intend to purchase a Wii to get fit, and am not sure what equipment I need. At the moment I have nothing so will, I think, have to buy the console but any suggestions as to what other items I need. We do not as a family need loads of games, but more the type of thing that you can do by yourself.
I am not interested in getting super fit, just trying to lose some weight hopefully. Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
You'll need the Wii console, a Wii balance board, two Wii remotes, two Wii nunchucks and the Wii Fit DVD-ROM. Oh, and plenty of AA batteries (two each for the remotes and four for the board) plus spares.
Personally, I'd just buy a console and a balance board to start with and see what you need or want afterwards. That's what I did anyway, but I shopped for offers which included software bundles.
I would wait a few weeks as with Xmas fast approaching there will be good deals to be had.
I would also go the Xbox 360 and Kinect route as that would be your only outlay aside from the games of course and again with Xmas approaching they will certainly drop the bundle price I would guesstmate to around the £200 mark.
The bundle itself already comes with Kinect Sports which has some great fun events within it and with an update on the way Kinect is so much more than just a gaming peripheral.
