Is Battlefield 3 now the game it should have been at launch?

DICE have been commenting this week on how much better the game is for the patches but what do you think?

For me the patches helped a lot e.g. MAV riding now gone but there are still many unresolved issues.

For me a small list of fixes required are:

Audio still drops out when in vehicles
Flares still don't distract tank guided missiles
Javelins overpowered v scout choppers (1 hit kill)
Collision/hit detection can be very poor e.g. a 120mm shell right next to someone only hurts them but you can get 1 shot-killed by a pistol.
More options with rented servers e.g. the ability to remove vehicles or weapons. (so many state no shotguns for example but can't enforce).

Despite my whining I am a BF3 addict who plays easily upwards of 25hrs per week. I must seek help at some point!

I find it absolutely awesome with very little bugs. Although i only play assault and TD on only a few favourite servers at the moment.
Not seen a hacker for ages either.

Something else I think they should add after the game has finished and the timer is counting down is state what the next map and game type is.

I only play conquest and I've lost count of the number of times I've had to wait for the next game to load just so I can leave!

I seem to have an option ticked somewhere to find me the most one sided servers available!

Almost every game I joined yesterday had 1 side totally dominating the other or much higher skill levels on 1 team to the other.

The amount of M320 and shottie use and also base camping is on the rise too. Oman is the worst one for base camping as if you are the land based team, the enemy can go on a hill right outside your base or up in one of the hotels with a perfect view in for sniping!
