Scene - wonderful hot day.
Drip coming from joint in soil pipe - is it foul water? Phoned plumber.


Plumber came 3pm. Took joint off - poo-y water came out - rodded it - blocked manhole further down the line..... manhole isn't where we thought it was. Garden has poo, toilet paper, a million shiny flies- and three catz want their tea - not a hope, kittenz....

Happened to me once. Turned out my son had thrown a brick down the drain. I won't tell you how much it cost to repair.

Omigawd, that sounds horrendous. You poor thing. I hope it gets sorted soon. Is it a shared drain? I'm just wondering if there's a shared responsibility if the blockage is further away than you thought.
