Fifa 14 Disc

I got fifa the other day and ever since I started playing my xbox would freeze several times. Ive heard its not the xbox but the game and how EA servers are so Sugar. But now my fifa disc has a massive scratch going around the outer edge of the disc and is now unplayable. Ive tried the toothpaste trick, no change and ive tried installing it to the hard drive but it gets to about 32% and is unable to install due to being unreadable.

Is there any other way to fix the scratch? And i think I threw the receipt away but if there is no way of fixing ill have to see if I still got it. If I dont is it still possible to get a new game?

Why throw a receipt away of something you have just bought?

I have receipts for things I bought over a year ago, some longer than that.
