Oculus Rift Vr Cinema Question?

Hi,
I have just bought the Oculus Rift (not the Gear Vr). I have bought a gaming laptop for it also, and it works perfectly. However, one of the main reasons I wanted the Oculus Rift was for VR Cinema. I have successfully downloaded the 'Oculus Video' theatre, and it looks amazing. However, I have tons of movies on an external hard drive. When I plug it in to the USB port, they do not show up within the 'Oculus Video' app. Any Idea how I can rectify this?
Thanks

No device can find data in a file which wasn't put there by whoever created that file. So no device will be able to find the information required for 3D/VR if you simply present it with an ordinary movie file.

You need to seek out suitable content here:

Thanks anyway. Sorted now. It seems what you have to do is this. Create a file in 'movies' on your computer and name it 3D. Then drag and drop your film into it. This I did and dragged two 3D movies from my external hard drive into it. I then went back into 'Oculus Video' and sure enough there they were. Played perfectly. However, it only plays the 3D films. Im sure there is a way of converting 2D to side by side 3D though. Cheers.
