Is Freshman Year Too Late To Begin Ice Hockey?

Hi! So anyways I seemed to really like hockey I like how face paced it is and now I really want to start playing I’m also a lacrosse player I play defense so I can make *** happen i have some buddies that also play hockey I can get help from and I have a an ice rink in my town I’m also a hard hitter and I’m a big forget to mention I play football too I’m a DT now here’s the problem I can only skate foward using figure skates and I can’t really tie hockey skates too and the high school I’m going to hockey is a cut sport. So I’m gonna need helpful advice thanks!

Can't really advise on skating, but if you have delirium tremens then I'd advise laying off the alcohol.

This a British-based site and its unlikely that anyone would know much about ice hockey, as it is not played very often over here.

Get on the ice and practise with your friends on hockey skates. It's never too late to learn but I wouldn't join a game only being able to use figure skates and only going forwards.

my nephew plays..but you need to be more than proficient on ice and hockey skates are VERY different to figure
