Does Anyone Recognise This Board Game?

Hi all,
I first saw this game in a ZX Spectrum book in the eighties.
It was called Explosion!
The game was played on a 3x3 grid. Each square had a capacity equivalent to the number of sides it shared with adjacent squares. E.g., if the layout was 123
456
789,
square 1 has a capacity of 2 because it is adjacent to squares 2 & 4, square 5 has a capacity of 4 because it is adjacent to squares 2, 4, 6 and 8.
Players would take it in turn to add a counter to the grid. If any square reached it's capacity, it would 'explode', and it would pass a counter to each of its neighbours. If any subsequent square then became full, it would also 'explode'.
The loser was the player who set off a continuous set of explosions.
Does anyone know of this game?
Thanks in advance.
