Pedometer Question.
6 Answers
When out walking, my pedometer tracks the number of steps accurately but when I am line dancing the step count is far too low. Today, I have danced for one and a half hours and only clocked up just over a thousand steps. That can't be right.
Any ideas?

Pedometers simply aren't designed to measure the types of movements used in dancing. You'll get a better estimate for non-walking activities by using a conversion chart, such as this one: https://www. arhs-nc.org/ live-healthy /data/StepCo nversionChar t.pdf

No, RR. It's a Tanita pedometer which I keep in my pocket.
