How Bad Was My Attempt In Approaching Girl I Like

So me and this girl have made quite a few glances at each other at the gym.. A few days ago, I approached her and asked whether I could workout next to where she was and whether there is enough room for her.. 

 

She smiled and said it’s fine… I didn’t want to interrupt her workout so left it at that.

 

2 days later, I see her again and she keeps looking in my direction but the timing wasn’t right.. 

 

I saw her again today with a girl who looked kind of similar, sitting on the mats chatting away.. I decided to approach from a position where they could see me walking towards them.. 

 

I said “Hey.. Sorry to interrupt but are you both Twins?”.. They replied, “No, we’re sisters”

 

Me: I thought I saw a resemblance.. Thought I’d ask..

 

Sister of girl I like: She’s 6 years older

 

Me: What are your names?

 

When I said this, the girl I like did kind of smile but immediately suppressed it and told me her name. Her sister also told me her name. 

 

Me: “Ahh right.. That’s cool. I seen her quite a few times but haven’t seen you.”

 

Then I looked at the girl I like and said “Are you more disciplined” to which she said “No, she’s always here”

 

Her sister then said I haven’t seen you before either.. To which I replied I come at different times

 

Then I got kind of nervous and said.. Anyways, take care.

 

They as soon as I started to walk away.. They immediately got up and left that area

No expert but I reckon it's still salvageable. Just keep the social chat going longer next time, and see if she is interested in some other social event with you.
