does anyone know where I can get free downloads for my sims? Like stuff like bedroom furniture , wee kiddies clothes and furniture! thanx. x

if you have the pc version you will have to get an extension pack, if you have a ps2 or gamecube there are some cheats, try this one, midas. hope this helps

there is one for getting loads of extra cash too but i can't remember it, u press ctrl C i think , a white bar appears at the top of the screen, then put in the word which i can't remember and then the word Kerching, and u get $50,000 I think it is. anyone know the first word?

The Sims2 website has people offering free stuff www.sims2.com but be careful as they aren't official and could cause problems. The expansion pack was a good suggestion and the Family Fun Stuff one has loads of cute kids clothes and furniture and Amazon are selling it pretty cheap at the moment.
As for the cheats, putting in kaching after pressing Control shift and c gives you 1,000 and typing in motherlode gives you 50,000.
I'm not addicted to this game - honestly! Clem x

Or alternativily, go to Google and type in 'Sims 2 objects' if you are looking for furniture and 'sims 2 skins' if you are looking for clothing, as these are the names commonly used for the things you are looking for in the Sims community. Usually once you are on one of these sites, they have a 'links' page that can give you the web addresses of many other sites! :)

ive downloaded a few items before and nothings happened! They are not available in the game! i know that i probably have to do something to activate them or whatever but i dont know how lol so ive given up!

Thats the best one for downloading custom content, FREE.
most of them you have to pay for, but this one has more stuff and is free :)

I think its �5 for three months...its well worth it though as they have some really nice stuff!
And you can pay via Paypal which is handy
