I was playing texas hold'em with a group of 4, and a few times, 2 people had the same hands. (EG Both had a Q and a 10)

If the 'flop' laid out a Q, 10 and 3 other cards, who'd win the pot or would it be spilt?

you go onto kicker cards. say i had a pair of queens and a pair of fives, and u had the same hand as me, then we go to the next set in the hand/table. in this case, the pot would most likely be split, as the kickers wud be the same (kickers are cards you go down, which are in the players hands/table as to find out whos the pot will be). If we both had a pair of kings, one of which was in the table and one in each hand, and yt i had an ace, that ace kicker, even though it plays no part in a combination, wud be higher than ur kicker (next down) and hence the pot would be mine, hope i helped
If you are both holding a Q and a 10 in your hand the pot is split, unless one of you have a flush. In which case this is the best hand and you would take the pot.
