It's actually the Nintendo Wii.

But yes, I think that's Nintendos plan.
The new controller is a little more intuative than the usal joypads so it'll be easier for non-gamers to pick up and play. At least in theory.
As ever it'll depend entirely on the games and what gamers actually go out and buy.
i have owned a freestyle pro joypad for the pc for about 8 years it responds to movement tilt left, right, forward and backwards. it didnt make playing driving games any easier skill is still required!
With respect The Mack, unless I'm mistaken games were not designed specifically for that controller, the controller for the Wii on the other hand is central to the whole concept

I while the controller won't make you a great gamer you will have a lot of fun playing with it (at least I hope so).
motocross madness was, the idea was you could make the rider wheelie by tilting back the pad.
whatever the interface you need to learn, that is the idea and i suppose the fun of gaming. i think it could be considered fun or less intimidating for non gamers but different interfaces are also on ps2, x-brick (DDR mats, the guitar one, singstar, the gloves that can be used to box and play golf, eyetoy, light guns.....none of these are a walkover they need practice so i guess the answer is .......if you persevere
