Is it possible to kill the ghosts so that all u have to do is get rid of the pac dots to clear the level?

as i remember it the only way to get rid of ghosts is by eating the special dots in the corners then eating a ghost.

In the classic game you can only banish the ghosts to the "sin bin" for a short time. Then they return.
Maybe somone has programmed a version you can kill them permanently.
