I'm typing a CV for a doctor and she would like it numbered with roman numerals i.e. IV, but with a line above and below the two numerals. I have tried doing this in a text box and a table but the lines are too long, does anyone know of an easy way, or any way at all of doing this please?
Thanks, Paws.

Are you using Word ?

On the View menu select Header and Footer and a small window is displayed

Changed it from Header to Footer (assuming you want the numbers at the bottom)

From the window select the icon for Insert Page Number. This adds number at bottom of page.

Then chose the Format Page Number icon.

Under number format you can select Roman.

This adds roman numerals.

Not sure how you get the lines above and below though.

I managed to add a line above and below the number by selecting the outlining Icon.

Select in the footer area.

Then select the outlining icon, then select line below, then line above, and you now get roman numerals with a line above and below them.
