In my relationship with the Northern Cheyenne ( Tsi-Tsi-Tas ) here in the western U.S. I found their name for the January full moon to be Big Hard Face Moon(Ma'x�he'konenee�e'he) very descriptive when you've experienced -30 F in southern Montana. Additionally, June was called Moon of the Red Grass Up (Matse'omee�e'he), which described a type of prairie grass we call 'Cheat Grass' that grows rapidly and produces a vivid red top in late May and Early June...
