My son knocked his PSP console off the chair arm and the screen cracked..everything else still works perfectly..can we get it repaired or would it be best just to cut our losses and sell it on ebay for 'parts' and put the money towards a new PSP? Please help!!

Thanks for the reply...but it's the actual screen underneath the top protective plastic cover that's cracked..not sure that's a 'diy' job for me...thanks..footymum
there are companies in the uk you can send your psp to and they will replace the screen. Its not too complicated so it should not cost too much, try googleing psp repair or enquire with the company already suggested.
if u got it from currys u can get them to repaie it just ring them
claim on your home contents insurance.
50ish excess and brand new psp.

Many thanks to Phantaxus,fiona_m and Mattk for your help.

Phantaxus-I'll be contacting the company you mentioned.

fiona_m-We bought it from Game and they couldn't help at all...they just wanted my son to buy another one from them and take out their 20 yearly insurance.

Mattk-Thought about that, but we pay a 150 excess on our contents insurance to keep the premium down,so it wouldn't be worth claiming unfortunately..but many thanks anyhow.
You can definitely get them on ebay. Just search for "PSP LCD Screen". There's quite a few of them! Can't imagine you'd have to pay any more than 25 for 1.

This site " http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/37 1814 " tells you how to remove/replace the LCD screen.

Hope this helps!
