Im thinking of buying a Wii but I'm unsure about the Wi-Fi/Internet connectivity

How easy is it to set up the wii wireless connectivty?
I have broadband with a wireless router in my house. Does the Wii automatically pick up the signal or is extra hardware / software needed?!
