psp problems

My friend has just bought a 2nd hand psp from ebay and can't get games to work, it keeps saying that the game cannot be started (FFFFFED3) has this got some sort of virus ? heeelllp!!

The previous owner has more than likely tried to upgrade / downgrade it so he could play copies on it. This can sometimes turn the psp into a brick !! It sounds like your friends psp has been ruined by this method, as not all versions of psps are able to have this change done to them.

Oh and by the way , if it was not stated on ebay that it was not working, you should report the seller to ebay and try and get your money back.

Try the psp forums, sadly though i do not think it can be repaired. If the software has been corrupted then its the bin i am afraid for the psp.But you never know, trawl the internet and give as much info as you can, you may get an answer. Good luck.

put psp game in drive instead of trying to load it, press PSP update, this might update your systems firmware making it useable again. Long shot but worth a go!
