my sson was playing on his x box when it froze when he switched it back on the main light began to flash red and green and the door wont open.it says contact customer support.any ideas what has happened?thanks in anticipation.

You have got the dreaded red lights. First of all did you let it cool down as the 360 does mess up when it gets too hot.
If it is under a year old., microsoft will collect, fix and return it( free of charge). If not, expect to pay around �80.00.

You should have an error code with that error message.

For the xbox 360 3 red light of death error the warranty is now three years

Look up the error code you are getting on the xbox-scene forums or post it here.

thanx phantaxus it was error code 7 and it means the hard drive has died thanx for your help much appreciated.going to replace the hard drive and motherboard........might just buy a new 1 lol
