PS3 and Tellys

I'm just about to get a PS3 but dnt have a HDTV does this matter? Im worried cuz Ive never seen anywhere that says its ok to play it thru an ordinary TV. Any help would be appreaciated!

All consoles will connect to via a Scart to non- hdtv. High def Tvs are very new, most are still standard def.

well ps3 what can i say about that ! ..DONT BUY ONE ! the xbox 360 is far better the hd on ps3 is rubbish games look poor egc... dont get me wrong i was a ps fan but the ps3 is the downfall of the playstation ...the xbox 360 is far better trust me ! but at the end off the day its up to u ! good look u will nead it if you get a ps3 lol

Sorry treborrobert but I have to disagree with you. I was dead set on getting an xbox 360 but changed my mind at the eleventh hour and bought a PS3, mainly because it already has a HD drive, wi-fi (I have a wireless network at home), 60Gb HDD, built-in power supply and it's quiet to name but a few. When playing Motor Storm on my 42" HD tele it blows me away. Now i've got it, i'm finding out all the other things it does as well. I can store my digital camera pics on it and view them as a slideshow. I can store music on it. I can go online and download updates, demos (crucial to try before u buy with the cost of the games). I can surf the net, made easier by the soon to be released bluetooth keyboard. In fact the decreasing price, I've seen it for �329.99, makes it a must buy.

dont forget that the PS3 is also the cheapest blue ray player out there and it gets continually updated.Free of charge. Also free are the online games, not so on the xbox so I hear!

I forgot to say that I played my PS3 through an old portable TV for a couple of monts whilst saving for a HDTV it worked fine.

each to there own. but i still say ps3 is a rip of price for what you get... and i feel it looks ugly anyway.. as for the blue ray... u carnt tell the diffrence from the xbox 360. and the xbox 360 i say is far better.
