hi there, i got a wii too and im pretty sure the game saves aren't anything to do with the sd card. i dont have an sd card and it saves all my games fine, i think onto the console itself.
the sd card port is for either photo viewing or you can transfer retro games onto it.
sorry dont know about the next part of your question though as i only got the mario games....good luck
Random Pie is right, you do not need a memory card to save your games, The console has an internal hard drive for game saves and downloads and the such like.

Mario Vs Sonic at the Olympics is a good fun game especially with a couple of drinks . The choice of driving games for the Wii at the moment isn't great - GT Pro Series might be worth looking at, any of the Need for Speed series do not have realistic circuits, although you can upgrade your cars and engines with progress.

Hope that helps a bit
the game saves are on the console's internal flash drive, and it should take you many many games to fill it up.
Hi Herbie,

As far as racing games go for the wii i own 3 of them. Need for speed Carbon, Need for Speed Pro street and GT Pro series.

Forget GT Pro series - really regret buying that!

Need for speed, both games are good in different ways. To build up the car and your own crew to build new ones i would deffinitly recoment need for speed carbon, the down side to this game (from your husbands point of view) is that it is set in city streets and not on race circuts.

Pro street i found to be ok, though not as good as carbon in my opinion, it is set on race tracks but lacks the sheer playability of Carbon.

If you want to spend the money on something other than a wasted memory card i recomend need for speed carbon. One drawback however, or maybe a blessing, is that your hubby wont do much else but play it got sy least a month, without meal breaks.
