need help finding the griffin on spiderwick chronicles!

im at the bit in the game where you have to find the griffin in the quarry. it says on the quest page something along the lines of 'find the griffins perch. look for a Tree Folk similar to the one high in the quarry'.

so wheres the griffin and whats a tree folk?!

ive lost half a day being stuck on this bit and there are no walkthroughs that i can find because its so recent!

You can't get to the tree folk in the quarry from the quarry.

You need to go to the deep woods ( or dark forest, or whatever it's called), find one on an island and use it and it will take you to the one in the quarry and the griffin.

thank you! dont suppose you can help me on another bit too could you? im at the bit near the end i think where your in the house with the ogre and i suppose your meant to start running somewhere but i keep running into the kitchen which is the only way to go i think and then he eats me =[

any ideas?

I don't know sorry, I copied and pasted that from another website. it was from the board section of gamefaqs.com so it might be worth having a look there
