As some of you may know, i have been offered a new job- whoooop! But - i think the offer may be withdrawn! before applying for this job i applied for another one that specified English as a good thing to have - and i have an English Degree. So i may have slightoly fibbed and put i had a 2.1 rather than the 2.2 that i did get..... Anyway - have toally forgotten to change it on my CV and now they have this company that is going to check all references and qualifiactions! Totally my own fault i know and i dont usually lie but i was so desperate for a job!! Thing is i dont want to call them and tell as they will know i tried to decieve someone else - although i know they will think that i tried to decieve them! Either way ive now handed in my notice, will probably not get this job and will be left high and dry!! Moral of the story - DONT TELL FIBS!!!!!!!!!!

Dont say anything as this may draw unnecessary attention to something that may be unoticed
A lie, nevermind how white it is (and in your case its a white one), is not a good first impression any company will like.
If they do notice the discrepancy, you should be honest. Because they may check or ask for proof from you certificate, and upon finding out that you have lied again, they may burn you at the stake.
Its a shame, as I can see why you did it, but can they?
